The Department of Transportation published a final rule updating the agency's FOIA regulations in today's issue of the Federal Register.  The changes are meant to conform DOT's procedures with amendments enacted by the FOIA Improvement Act of 2016.  Other technical changes are being introduced, too.  There was no notice-and-comment period.  The final rule is effective June 5, 2017.
